The Bible tells us that we have been uniquely created in the image of God. If you read Genesis 1 you will see that when the rest of creation was formed, God said it was “good”. But the tone changes when it comes to mankind. God created humanity and he said it was “very good”. God has created you for good things and those good things are fully realized when we come into relationship with Jesus. Jesus restored our relationship to the God that created us on purpose and for a purpose. You are a masterpiece! You were created in the image of God! God sent His son to pay for your sins so that the relationship He created you for could be restored. That’s how important you are to God.

God brings light into darkness. You will see that this is a recurring theme throughout the Bible. Humanity was lost in darkness, but God sent Jesus who is the light of the world. Everyone who trusts in Jesus is brought out of darkness and brought into His marvelous light. Christianity is so much more than salvation, even though that is a major part of it. Through Jesus we can have peace in darkness, we have hope in difficult times, we have joy that passes all understanding.

As we begin this 21 days of prayer and fasting I want to remind you that we don’t pray to try and earn favor or to try and get something from God. There is nothing wrong with believing God for a miracle in your body, a breakthrough in your finances, or for restoration in a relationship but we enter this time of prayer seeking to become closer to the one that gives the gifts not for the gifts themselves. During this 21 days I hope you are believing God for big things in your life! Ask God for things that seem impossible but let the biggest prayer we pray be

God wants to reveal himself to you in a greater way. The Bible tells us to “Ask, to seek, and to knock” and He will answer.
