1/21 Days of Prayer

MATTHEW 7:7-8 (NIV)
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
As we begin this 21 days of prayer and fasting I want to remind you that we don’t pray to try and earn favor or to try and get something from God. There is nothing wrong with believing God for a miracle in your body, a breakthrough in your finances, or for restoration in a relationship but we enter this time of prayer seeking to become closer to the one that gives the gifts not for the gifts themselves. During this 21 days I hope you are believing God for big things in your life! Ask God for things that seem impossible but let the biggest prayer we pray be
“God I want to be closer to you than ever before.”
God wants to reveal himself to you in a greater way. The Bible tells us to “Ask, to seek, and to knock” and He will answer.
PRAY:
Lord, I am entering this 21 days with a desire to be closer to you.
I want to hear your voice in a greater way. I want to be led by you every day. Here I am asking, I’m seeking, and I’m knocking. In Jesus name, Amen.
