Joshua 24:15 NKJV – But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
In this verse, Joshua makes a bold declaration about his family. I believe that God is honored when we speak in faith over our families. In fact, the greatest gift you can give your family is declaring God’s Word over them. You can personalize Scripture by inserting your family’s names and declaring the Word of God over every aspect of their lives.
If you have a spouse that isn’t serving God, speak the Word of God over them. If you are believing for breakthrough in a certain area with your children, speak the Word of God over them. If you are believing God for a family member to come back to God, speak the Word of God over their lives. Something powerful happens when we begin to say what God says over the people in our lives!
Below are some verses for you to personalize with the names of people in your life. God’s Word tells us that He watches over His Word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). The more we declare God’s Word, the more it gets settled into our hearts and all of Heaven goes into action to perform it!
Psalm 105:4 – ______________ looks to the Lord and His strength; ______________ seek His face always.
1 Kings 3:9 – Therefore give to ______________ understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil.
