20/21 Days of Prayer

READ:

2 Timothy 2:8-9 (NKJV)
8 Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel, 9 for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains; but the word of God is not chained.
This is one of my favorite scriptures in the New Testament. Paul is writing to his son in the faith from a prison and, even though he is going through hell on earth, he says, “The word of God can not be chained.” Paul is reminding us of a simple but powerful truth.

That truth is: the word of God is bigger than every circumstance you are facing in the moment.

I don’t know what hardship you may be going through but I know this: there is a promise in God’s word that you can cling to. The word of God shouldn’t be a last resort; it should be our first response when difficulty arises. Maybe you’re struggling in your health; start claiming the word of God over your health. If your marriage is on the rocks, start claiming scripture over your marriage. Maybe you feel bound to an addiction; claim the word over yourself until you are free. Remember the word of God is bigger than your situation!

PRAY:

Lord, thank you for Your word. Thank you that it’s a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Thank you that all the promises in Your word are yes and amen through Jesus Christ my Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.
