No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you.
Have you ever felt like you were all alone? One day, my wife went to the store and had taken my daughter with her. My son (about 4 at the time) was in the other room taking a nap. I was in my bedroom when I heard a scream from the living room. I ran to see what was going on. That’s when I saw my son at the door crying. For some reason, he thought we had left him all alone. I picked him up and assured him that I would never leave him by himself. That’s the assurance that Jesus gives all of us.
He said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.”
Maybe you feel alone, but rest in the confidence that Jesus will never leave you. He is standing faithful by your side.
PRAY:
Lord, thank you that You have never abandoned me, and that You stand with me even when others have left. Thank you Holy Spirit for being my comforter in times when I feel lonely.
