19/21 Days of Prayer

READ:

Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
I love the story about 2 boys that were placed in two different rooms. One was negative about everything so he was placed in a room full of all the newest toys. Within an hour, he was complaining about how he had nothing to play with. The second boy was put in a room full of horse manure. When they went to check on the boy, he was no where to be found! Eventually they saw movement and the boy’s head peeked out of the rancid pile. They asked the boy what he was doing? The boy replied, “With all this horse manure around, there is bound to be a pony around here somewhere!!”

Your thoughts are more powerful than you realize.

We have a choice everyday to see the positive or the negative in our lives. We can complain about what’s wrong, or we can be thankful for what is right. I have learned over the years that you seem to get more of what you talk about and focus on. Here, we get an amazing reminder to think about the good things that are happening around us, not the bad.

PRAY:

God, help me to shift my focus to the things that are right in my life. Thank you for all the things that are going well. In Jesus name, Amen.
