If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
If you have children, then you know how fun it is to get your kids something that they’ve been asking for! As parents, we love to give good things to our children. I’ve never had my kids ask for a video game and got them coal instead. For some reason though, God gets a bad rap with some people, and they perceive him as an abusive father. They think God’s out to get us the first chance He gets. The Bible tells us that compared to God, we are “evil”. So if we being “evil” give good gifts when our children ask us, how much more does God give us good things when we ask?
God is so good and He wants to bless His children with good things!
PRAY:
Lord, thank you for being a good Father! Thank you for giving me good not evil. Thank you for your blessings in my life. Amen.
(Now take a few minutes to thank him for the good things in your life and ask him for some desires in your heart)
