15/21 Days of Prayer
READ:
Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV)
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [a]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
When I was a kid, I loved a good wrestling match! I couldn’t watch it on television because my parents didn’t allow it, but that didn’t keep me from wrestling my friends in my backyard. When I got into our makeshift arena, I knew exactly who the enemy was! My goal was to take them down!!
The Bible says, “We wrestle not against flesh and blood.”
In other words, we don’t know who we are fighting. We think it’s about our spouse, our kids, our boss, our landlord, but sometimes it’s more than that. I heard Pastor Chris Hodges say recently, “Whatever it is that you are going through is way more spiritual than you think it is.” There is a real devil, and he really hates you. The good news is we have authority over him and Jesus has defeated him!
PRAY:
Lord, I take authority over every attack of the enemy! I thank You for helping me to discern what is an attack from the enemy and for giving me the strength to overcome every attack that comes my way!! In Jesus name, Amen.
