11/21 Days of Prayer
READ:
2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
I was about 12 when a friend of mine let me watch a “Tales from the Crypt” show that I never will forget! I was terrified for weeks! I was afraid to sleep in the dark. I would make myself check under my bed before crawling into it. That show put some serious fear in me. Looking back on it now, it was extremely silly that I was so afraid of a show like that, but that’s the way fear works. It’s not rational. People have all kinds of irrational fears. They are afraid of the dark, spiders, the sun, water, and the list goes on and on. But you don’t have to live your life in fear. You can take every fearful thought captive and make it line up with the word of God.
Life is too short to live in fear.
It may take some time but, every time you feel fear creeping in, start confessing this promise over yourself. I believe that you can be free from fear in your life.
PRAY:
Lord, I thank you that You haven’t given me fear! In fact, You have come to set me free from fear. I take every thought captive and command it to line up with Your word. I refuse to live my life fearful anymore! In Jesus name, Amen.
