3/21 Days of Prayer & Fasting

READ:

PSALM 24 (NIV)

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
    the world, and all who live in it;
for he founded it on the seas
    and established it on the waters.

Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
    Who may stand in his holy place?
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,
    who does not trust in an idol
    or swear by a false god.

They will receive blessing from the Lord
    and vindication from God their Savior.
Such is the generation of those who seek him,
    who seek your face, God of Jacob.

Lift up your heads, you gates;
    be lifted up, you ancient doors,
    that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?
    The Lord strong and mighty,
    the Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, you gates;
    lift them up, you ancient doors,
    that the King of glory may come in.
Who is he, this King of glory?
    The Lord Almighty—
    he is the King of glory.

We live in a world that’s full of problems. The odds are pretty high that you are facing a problem in one or more areas of your life right now. Isn’t it interesting that one area of your life can be going amazing and another area of your life can be struggling?

In the middle of difficulty, I have a tendency to talk about the difficulty to anyone that will listen, including myself. I have learned that focusing and talking about how big the problem is doesn’t fix the problem. The key is to talk about how big our God is not how big our problems are.

I know that you may be going through a difficult time but the fact that you are reading this tells me that God hasn’t failed you yet. And if He hasn’t failed you up to this point then you better believe He’s not going to start now!

Talk to your problems about how big your God is.

PRAY:

Lord, forgive me for elevating my problems and making them bigger than you. I know that you’ve never failed me. I declare that you are bigger than any problem I could ever face! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
