Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God
Philippians 4:6 (NKJV)

My kids have gone through many phases while growing up. Both of them went through a season when they pointed and grunted anytime they wanted anything. It was cute for a while, but eventually we had to tell them: “use your words”. We wanted them to tell us what they wanted. We knew they couldn’t go through this life pointing and grunting anytime they needed something. That seems obvious, but a lot of Christians are believing God for something they haven’t asked him for. They are expecting Him to do something and haven’t even vocalized the need or desire. People say, “God knows everything”. That is absolutely true, but over and over in the Bible He says, “ASK”. Use your words! Say it out loud! What are you asking God for?

Prayer:
God, your word tells me to make my request known to you so right now I ask you for: (what you are asking God for here). Thank you for hearing me when I ask and for moving on my behalf. In Jesus’ name, Amen
