1/21 Days of Prayer

READ:

Matthew 7:7-8 (NIV)
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

As we begin this 21 days of prayer and fasting, I want to remind you that we don’t fast and pray to try and earn favor or to try and get something from God. There is nothing wrong with believing God for a miracle in your body, a breakthrough in your finances, or for restoration in a relationship, but we enter this time of fasting and prayer seeking to become closer to the one that gives the gifts not for the gifts themselves. During this 21 days I hope you are believing God for big things in your life! Ask God for things that seem impossible, but let the biggest prayer we pray be,

“God I want to be closer to you than ever before.”

God wants to reveal himself to you in a greater way. The Bible tells us to “Ask, to seek, and to knock” and He will answer.

PRAY:

Lord, I am entering this 21 days with a desire to be closer to you. I want to hear your voice in a greater way. I want to be led by you every day. Here I am asking, I’m seeking, and I’m knocking. In Jesus name, Amen.
