2/21 Days of Prayer

1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
God brings light into darkness. You will see that this is a recurring theme throughout the Bible. Humanity was lost in darkness, but God sent Jesus, who is the light of the world. Everyone who trusts in Jesus is brought out of darkness and brought into His marvelous light. Christianity is so much more than salvation, even though that is a major part of it. Through Jesus we can have peace in darkness, we have hope in difficult times, we have joy that passes all understanding.
We begin to see things differently because Jesus shines His light on every situation in our lives.
PRAY:
Jesus, thank you for bringing light into my heart and into my life. Let your light shine through me today so the people around me can see your goodness and your mercy and that they may encounter you. Amen.
